Lensbaby

What a beautiful fall day it was today. Most of the leaves are gone now, but the weather was beautiful. Winter is imminent. Better enjoy it while we can.

These are some shots I took today with my Lensbaby 3G. In case you are not familiar with this lens, it is a selective focus lens that gives a "sweet spot" of focus in the center that is surrounded by lens blur. You push, pull and tilt the bellows lens until you get the sweet spot where you want, then manually adjust the focus. You can fine tune the sweet spot to a precise point and shoot away. The aperture is selected by drop-in magnetic discs that vary in size from f/2.8 - f/22. It's a fun lens to play with but it takes some time and patience to get the hang of it.

Here are a couple from today:

There was a weird cloud system moving in this afternoon that left a distinct straight line in the sky where the system ended. It was pretty strange looking as it stretched completely across the sky as far as the eye could see in either direction. You can see it here in this picture of a group of poplars:

Just a bunch of dead leaves on horizontal branches:

Fallen, dead, decaying tree:

Some little bug's house:

More dead stuff:

A black and white of the poplars:

Enjoy!
